clean sheets
I honestly don't know that there's anything better than sleeping in clean, 400 thread count sheets.

Today is my 21st birthday.
I slept for about 2 hours when all the sudden I woke up with a knot in my stomach. Why? I'm not sure. It's horrible, and I hope it goes away because I need my health tonight!
So I'm gimp, and I can't figure out how to post pictures here even though everyone says it's fast and easy. Straight up liars.
I just remembered a story I thought I'd share. About a year ago, ma was trying to make a recipe that included whiskey. After rounding up her other ingredients at the grocery store, she comes home from Publix and looks flustered and says, "Did you know that they don't sell whiskey at the grocery store? Where am I supposed to get it??" (You might say, "Give your mom a break, she is an immigrant." But I'd quickly have to argue that since my mom has been in the States for over 30 years.) I gave her directions to the nearest liquor store, and yelled out, "Be sure to get there before 7pm!!" And she didn't even question why her 19-year old daughter was so knowledgeable about alcohol.
I'll be honest: I've been really spoiled for spring break the past three years. Given, junior year in high school, I was forced to work long hours in the pharmacy department at CVS for five days when my friends were all at the beach (ma wouldn't let me go), but since then, my spring breaks have been way above average. When I was a senior in high school, I went to London to see my sister who was studying abroad for a year. I had just turned 18 so I took my first alcoholic drink at Filthy McNasty's on Easter Sunday. Freshman year in college, my parents flew us all out to Japan where my dad had been doing business on and off. It was my very first trip to Asia, so I'll never forget what it felt like to well, not be the minority. Last year, ma and I went to Austin to see Ann's new life as a law school student. You can't really argue with a trip that you get to see Kelly Clarkson perform at the rodeo. Months ago, I thought I would have a sister studying abroad in Italy (if you notice a trend, basically my family just squeezes into the living quarters of whoever is not in SC for spring break), and although I was ecstatic about the opportunity to travel abroad again, somewhere in my mind I thought, "Man, I won't get to celebrate my 21st birthday with all my friends..." Well now, that's neither here nor there, and for the first time, I'm allowed to do whatever I want for spring break... but all I wish is that I could be with the people who love me and most of all, my family.
I've decided that a good measure of who I am should be found in my ability to have a good time regardless of who I'm with, where we're at, or what we're doing.
Change of scenery... the old website was tired, but I'll always be awkward and struggling.
